Each country on Earth has its own specific cuisine and this is one of the main aspects  you take into consideration when you travel. As a tourist, you are interested firstly in the surroundings you visit and then, in the food you will eat there. I am sure that you know about tzatiki and Feta cheese form Greece, paste and pizza from Italy or  sarmale and mici from Romania. The list does not stop here. If you are a gourmand, you will be excited to taste different and interesting dishes in every part of the world.

The middle eastern recipes are one of the most diversified. You don’t have enough time to taste each of them. Even if you can afford travelling in one  of  that countries, you can bring it in your kitchen by trying their recipes. The Middle East includes countries such as Egypt, Cyprus, Iran, Turkey etc.

  • Turkish cuisine is probably one of the most known all over the world. You have certainly eat or at least heard of “halwa”, “kebab” or “baklava”.

The halwa is their traditional dessert and the recipe includes ingredients such as molasses, unsalted butter, flour and chopped walnuts.

The Baklava is also a delicious dessert which is outspread in every corner of the world. The recipe is a little bit more  complicated because you also need the prepare the filling.

The kebab is very popular and, in time,  the recipe received more ingredients, but the flavour remains the same.

  • The Cypriot traditional food is somehow related to the Greek one. We all heard of mousaka of Greek origin, but also very popular in Cyprus.

The Middle Eastern chefs prefers ingredients such as olives and olives oil also because that countries are the most known for these plantation, honey and sesame weeds. It is worth trying their recipe if you want to taste something new.
